Situation
Joovv came barrelling onto the market in 2016 with a product unlike any other. Red light therapy is a coveted practice commonly prescribed by doctors for everything from skin conditions, to depression, to muscle recovery. Finally making the benefits of red light therapy convenient and accessible, Joovv was the first of its kind. Despite their unprecedented technology, the company wasn’t getting the visibility they needed to continue their growth.
Joovv partnered with PR Volt in July 2018 with the goal of increasing visibility through feature placements in mainstream media outlets and publications.
Program & Strategy
Once Joovv partnered with PR Volt, things quickly fell into place. Before working with PR Volt, Joovv had few mentions in the press with almost no feature-length placements. Joovv’s PR Volt campaign manager worked to build out their campaign calendar, focusing on current trending topics in the media. Narrowing in on certain topical benefits of red light therapy allowed the campaign manager to include Joovv in mainstream conversations and add to them.
PR Volt also made a concerted effort to focus on specific verticals as they related to red light therapy. Muscle recovery and increased testosterone levels in men, for example, were particularly interesting to the fitness and bodybuilding community. Identifying red light benefits as they relate to targeted audiences increased the likelihood for standalone articles focusing on Joovv as an all-encompassing health solution.
Results
Working closely with PR Volt, Joovv has seen a drastic increase in standalone and mentioned placements in tier-one media. Thus far, Joovv has received 42,365,588 in total impressions and this continues to grow along with their engagement with PR Volt.
